Built by the house L. Leroy and Co., the constant-pressure clock was installed in the Neuchâtel observatory in 1949 to transmit time. It was turned off in 1962, and neglected for some time. In 2010, the clock was dismantled and brought for safekeeping to the international watchmaking museum of La Chaux-de-Fonds.
