Catalytic performance and enantioselectivity of engineered oxidoreductases as biocatalysts

Petruzzi, Loric ; Pfeifer, Marc (Dir.)

Mémoire de bachelor : Haute Ecole d'Ingénierie, 2014.

The thesis will evaluate the catalytic activity and enantioselectivity of native Old Yellow Enzyme from S.pastoranius in comparison with three engineered enzyme variants. Substrates will be bioactive compounds with a particular emphasis on terpenoids and fragrances.

Développement de la mobilité ionique pour la détection des sites de sumoylation des protéines = Identification of SUMOylation Sites using High-Field Asymmetric Waveform Ion Mobility (FAIMS) coupled to a Linear Ion Trap/Orbitrap Mass Spectrometer

Pfammatter, Sibylle ; Kalman, Franka (Dir.)

Mémoire de bachelor : Haute Ecole d'Ingénierie, 2014.

SUMOylation is a post-translational modification of proteins that is involved in different cellular processes including mitosis, DNA replication and transcription. However its detection by liquid chromatography coupled to mass spectrometry (LC-MS) can be challenging due to its low abundance and dynamic regulation. High Field Asymmetric Waveform Ion Mobility Spectrometry (FAIMS) helps in...

Development of an analytical method usefull for the quantification of L-Glu & GlutaMAX during fermentation

Mayor, Mathieu ; Kalman, Franka (Dir.)

Mémoire de bachelor : Haute Ecole d'Ingénierie, 2013.

The objectives of this work are to establish time and cost-efficient methods for the quantification of L-Glutamine and GlutamaxTM in different mediums containing serums. These methods have to be easy to perform and based on a purpose of daily basis analysis of mammalian cells cultures.

Role of the Bcl-2 family member Bok in proliferation or cell cycle control

Roh, Laetitia ; Schnyder, Bruno (Dir.)

Mémoire de bachelor : Haute Ecole d'Ingénierie, 2011.

Bok is a pro-apoptotic protein which its exact role is unknown but may be a potential interest for cancer therapy. The function of Bok in proliferation or cell cycle control in cells is studied with a Bok-deficient mouse model

Screening of the antimicrobial properties of four Australian native eucalyptus species = Screening des propriétés antimicrobiennes de quatre espèces d'eucalyptus d'origine australienne

Gilles, Martin ; Wuest, Matthias (Dir.)

Mémoire de diplôme HES : Haute Ecole d'Ingénierie, 2007.

Objectives This study was undertaken to screen the in vitro antimicrobial properties of four Ausralian native Eucalyptus species, i.e., E. dives, E. gunnii, E. olida and E. staigeriana against five food-related micro-organisms, i.e., E. faecalis, S. aureus, E. coli, P. aeruginosa and C. albicans. The influences of two different extraction methods as well as the influence of a surfactant as...
