The RERO DOC project

RERO DOC is the digital library of RERO, the Library Network of Western Switzerland. It has been created to promote, preserve and provide public access to the scholarly literature produced be the institutions participating to the project (electronic theses, dissertations and e-prints) as well as to the digitalized collections of RERO libraries. In the framework of the Open Access initiative it provides a platform for researchers in member universities to self-archive their publications.

RERO DOC is certified as OAI-PMH conforming repository, being both data provider and data harvester. Its content is referenced by major search engines for scholarly information such as WorldCat's OAIster and Google Scholar. (OAI-PMH is a protocol for metadata exchange.)

This service is included in the membership fee for RERO member libraries. Other libraries and institutions can subscribe to the service for a small annual maintenance fee. Information requests should be addressed to . The contacts page contains a list of the persons to whom participation requests should be addressed.
