Board Games on Emotional Competences for School-Age Children

Dell'Angela, Linda ; Zaharia, Alexandra ; Lobel, Adam ; Vico Begara, Ornella ; Sander, David ; Samson, Andrea C.

In: Games For Health Journal, 2020, vol. 9, no. 3, p. 187-196

Objective: Emotional competences (EC) are important for social and academic outcomes and positive life trajectories. Due to their social setting and tendency to stimulate intrinsic motivation, board games may constitute efficient learning tools for promoting socioemotional development in children. The current project therefore aimed at developing and testing three theory-driven board games...

New data on early Oligocene dormice (Rodentia, Gliridae) from southern Europe : Phylogeny and diversification of the family

Lu, Xiaoyu ; Costeur, Loïc ; Hugueney, Marguerite ; Maridet, Olivier

In: Journal of Systematic Palaeontology, 2021, p. 1-21

Rodents of the extant family Gliridae, commonly called dormice, are common in European faunas since the early Eocene. Here we study for the first time specimens from St-Martin-de-Castillon C (France, early Oligocene) previously reported as Gliravus aff. majori and Pseudodryomys aff. fugax. We now refer them to Butseloglis tenuis and Microdyromys misonnei. Besides the French material, new...

Dental anomaly in a middle Miocene fossil of the genus Spermophilinus (Rodentia, Sciuridae) from southern Germany

Prieto, Jérôme ; Rummel, Michael ; Peláez-Campomanes, Pablo ; Vasilyan, Davit

In: Fossil Imprint, 2020, vol. 76, no. 1, p. 174-180

The maxillary presented in this work has been excavated in the middle Miocene karst filling Petersbuch 136 (Germany, Bavaria) and shows the oldest evidence of dental anomaly in a sciurid. The aberrant morphology, probably hyperdontia or no replacement of roots of deciduous teeth, affects the area of the P3, a tooth that is generally not well documented in the Spermophilinus record.

Biochronological and palaeobiogeographical significance of the earliest Miocene mammal fauna from Northern Vietnam

Antoine, Pierre-Olivier ; Made, Jan van der ; Métais, Grégoire ; Phuc, Laq The ; Quan, Quý Tr??ng ; Schneider, Simon ; Tran, Dang Ngoc ; Vasilyan, Davit ; Viet, Luong The ; Böhme, Madelaine

In: Palaeobiodiversity and Palaeoenvironments, 2018, vol. 98, no. 2, p. 287–313

Current scientific knowledge of Tertiary fossils from south of the Ailao Shan-Red River shear zone is extremely poor, in sharp contrast with the situation nowadays, as the area of Laos and Vietnam is regarded as a global hotspot of biodiversity. In this context, the few localities that yielded fossil assemblages are of first importance for the understanding of Cenozoic palaeobiogeography and...

A new species of Argyromys (Rodentia, Mammalia) from the oligocene of the valley of lakes (Mongolia): its importance for palaeobiogeographical homogeneity across Mongolia, China and Kazakhstan

López-Guerrero, Paloma ; Maridet, Olivier ; Zhang, Zhaoqun ; Daxner-Höck, Gudrun

In: PLOS ONE, 2017, vol. 12, no. 3, p. e0172733

We describe a new species of Rodentia (Mammalia), Argyromys cicigei sp. nov. from Toglorhoi (fossil bed TGW-A/2a) in Mongolia and Ulantatal (fossil beds UTL 1 and UTL 7) in China. Its tooth morphology differs from the type species Argyromys aralensis from Akespe in Kazakhstan by smaller size and simpler structures. Argyromys has been assigned in different families of Muroidea, such as...

The record of Aplodontidae (Rodentia, Mammalia) in the Oligocene and Miocene of the Valley of Lakes (Central Mongolia) with some comments on the morphologic variability

Maridet, Olivier ; Daxner-Höck, Gudrun ; López-Guerrero, Paloma ; Göhlich, Ursula B.

In: Palaeobiodiversity and Palaeoenvironments, 2017, vol. 97, no. 1, p. 25–49

The present publication reports new discoveries of Oligocene and early Miocene aplodontid rodents from the Taatsiin Gol area (Valley of Lakes) in Mongolia. The fossil aplodontids recovered in this area are mainly composed of dental remains, some fragmentary jaws plus one partially preserved skull. Aplodontid rodents have been found from the early Oligocene (local biozone A) to the early...

Cricetidae (Rodentia, Mammalia) from the oligocene of the valley of Lakes (Mongolia): the genera Aralocricetodon, Eocricetodon, Bagacricetodon, Witenia and Paracricetodon

López-Guerrero, Paloma ; Maridet, Olivier ; Daxner-Höck, Gudrun

In: Palaeobiodiversity and Palaeoenvironments, 2017, vol. 97, no. 1, p. 93–109

We describe the remains of Aralocricetodon Bendukidze, 1993; Bagacricetodon Gomes Rodrigues et al., 2012; Eocricetodon Wang, 2007; Witenia de Bruijn et al., 2003 and Paracricetodon Schaub, 1925 (Cricetidae, Rodentia, Mammalia) from the Taatsiin Gol and Taatsiin Tsagaan Nuur areas (Mongolia). The studied material (comprising 128 teeth) stems from 9 localities and 23 fossil layers spanning a...
