Density functional theory study of the Jahn-Teller effect in cobaltocene

A detailed discussion of the potential energy surface of bis(cyclopentadienyl)cobalt(II), cobaltocene, is given. Vibronic coupling coefficients are calculated using density functional theory (DFT).
