Cuticle alkanes of honeybee larvae mediate arrestment of bee parasite Varroa jacobsoni

The ectoparasitic mite Varroa jacobsoni invades worker brood cells of the honeybee Apis mellifera during the last 20 hr before the cells are sealed with a wax cap.
