L'Echo des Alpes
Mouthpiece of the extremist wing of the Liberal Party, the Echo des Alpes was published twice a week from May 4th 1839 under the direction of Alphonse Morand. Its polemical articles were attacked by both the clergy and lay authorities. It was shut down by decree on May 24th 1844.Newspaper's Archives Website
